A couple of you have emailed me… I thank you for that… about how nervous you are when approaching girls. I’m sure it’s something alot of us can relate to and speaking from personal experience, I know how nervous I was when just starting out.
The ‘good news’ is that being nervous is entirely natural and the ‘even better news’ is that it’s easy to fix.
In my first post I “touched” on 3 or 4 secret physiological tricks that anybody can use in ‘just seconds’ to help reduce their feelings of nervousness while at the same time, giving your confidence a quick boost.
When approaching woman, whether you’re using flirty pick up lines, romantic pick up lines or even a funny pick up line, be sure to ‘adjust your physical presence’. These tricks are used by many public speakers when giving a presentation and it’s where I learnt most of them. They’re a tremendous help in calming the nerves so are particularly useful for ‘newbies’ as well as the more seasoned pick up artist so I truly encourage you to use them.
Here they are again if you missed them:
>> Pull your shoulders back, stand tall. Actually, feel yourself getting taller as the energy flows up your spine.
>>Take 2 deep, relaxing breaths , and smile to yourself.
>>As you’re smiling to yourself, imagine her looking up at you….picture the smile on her face and a feeling of relaxed intimacy passing between you.
……..then approach her
>> When talking to her, lower the tone of your voice a fraction,,,not the volume, just the tone so talk with a slightly deeper voice. You’ll feel calmer. You’ll feel more ‘in control’ and also be perceived as being more confident.
>>Talk slower -reduce the tempo. Not only will this make you feel more relaxed, you’ll also be percieved as being more confident.
These tricks work. It’s a weird feeling….I think the best way to describe it is that you feel like you ‘own the space’. Give it a go and let me know what you think.
